The Sarah Winchester of Fiber Arts

My name is Jen, and I’m a 33 year old mother of 2, a retired Naval officer, a former government contractor, a Navy wife, an avid reader, and a sometimes writer.  Oh, and a quilter, seamstress, cross-stitcher, and knitter who is learning crochet.  This blog is all about that last, so I’ll tell you a little more about the rest here…

After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy and marrying my Academy sweetheart, I spent a little over 7 years in the U.S. Navy before being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and medical retired.  I did a short stint as a government contractor until my husband was transferred, and we moved with our baby son to south Texas (where we currently live).  Now I’m a stay-at-home mom spending my days with a highly entertaining pre-schooler and an adorable baby girl…and in my occasional free time I sometimes read and write…but more often I’ll be working on one of my many fiber arts works in progress.  And now I’ll be telling you about them here!
